How do I apply? Follow the three steps below. Deadline is January 31, 2018.
Step 1: Complete Application Part I - Must be completed and submitted online.
Step 2: Complete Application Part II - Mailed along with required documentation to address below.
Step 3: Complete Parent/Legal Guardian Agreement Form - Must be signed by parent/legal guardian and mailed to address below.

An Opportunity for High School Juniors and Sophomores!
Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) is now accepting applications for the 2018 Expanding Horizons Internships (EHI) program! This life changing program provides students throughout Los Angeles with opportunities for personal growth and skill development that will benefit them in all aspects of their lives. The program starts in the spring with interactive, educational seminars to strengthen skills in communication, presentation, networking, and collaboration, as well as learn about the college application process, financial aid, and SAT preparation. It concludes in the summer with a paid summer internship at a prestigious law firm, corporation, or non-profit organization.
Apply to Expanding Horizons Internships. A dynamic program that provides you the opportunity to:
- Challenge yourself in new ways
- Be exposed to the professional working world
- Gain knowledge from successful professionals
- Improve your communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Gain confidence, responsibility, and a sense of independence
- Develop and practice networking skills
- Receive FREE SAT prep & college admissions advice from experts
- Cultivate friendships with students from different areas of LA
- Become civically engaged
If you are a junior or sophomore and meet the following criteria:
- Neither parent attended a four-year college
- Attend a Title I high school
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Available and attend all seminar and internship dates

Since 1995, Expanding Horizons Internships (EHI) has provided first-generation, college-bound high school students in the Los Angeles area with an intensive experience of skill development and personal growth that prepares them for college, career, and civic life. The EHI program begins with interactive seminars in the spring and concludes with a paid summer internship at a prestigious law firm, corporation, government agency, or non-profit organization.
