YIP DESCRIPTION
Each seven-week Youth Internship Program has two components: paid work experience and educational seminars.

Work Experience
YIP's job site work experience provides interns with an opportunity to work in the arts, business or finance, education, government, health, human services, law or public relations (click here for a list of our job sites). Interns are paid $8.00/hour and work at their job site Monday through Thursday, six hours a day for six weeks.

Seminars
During the first and last week and every Friday of each program, YIP participants take part in educational seminars. Participants explore issues affecting Los Angeles, gain leadership skills, participate in college preparation workshops, and learn how to function in the workplace. A transportation stipend is provided for each seminar.
